Whenever I bake something new, I snap a pic and post to Instagram and Facebook. More often than not, someone asks for the recipe.  I started this blog as a means of posting the recipes and sharing them en masse.

I learned how to bake watching and helping my mom make treats starting all the way back in elementary school; my mom learned from her mom.  If my siblings and I wanted a treat, my mom would make it and we could help; cookies, cakes, brownies, anything was on the menu.

Baking with my mom turned into baking by myself.  During my sophomore year of high school I received an award in my AP World History class for “baking treats when needed and for shushing.”

All this baking progressed into cake decorating my senior year of high school when a friend’s mom offered me free cake decorating classes – I was baking and decorating a cake once a week for most of that year. I’ve even done a few wedding cakes, including my sister’s and my cousin’s.  Roommates in college would make special requests; cinnamon twists, cupcakes, snickerdoodles, etc.  Ever since, I’ve been known as “the baker.”

I’m always thinking up new things and looking for new recipes to try and share.

Making and baking are my passion.
